The cold chain sum

The equipment is cheap. What's inside isn't.

A drug fridge that drifts out of range doesn't just risk stock — vaccines and medicines that leave the 2–8°C band may have to be written off, and the contents are often worth many times the fridge that holds them.

CQC guidance is blunt on the equipment too: medicines belong in a pharmaceutical fridge, not a domestic one. If yours are in a domestic fridge, that's the first thing an inspector flags — and the first thing we'll tell you.

The engineering layer under your clinical governance

Your daily min/max checks stay yours — that's your clinical governance, and nothing we do replaces it.

What we add is the layer underneath: planned maintenance visits with temperatures and running readings recorded, dated and filed. When an inspector or your insurer asks how the equipment is maintained, you forward an email.

Around your list

Quiet, clean, out of hours

Practices can't have an engineer in the corridor mid-clinic. Visits are booked around your list — early, late, or closed days — and we leave the room as we found it. One scheduled visit covers the drug fridges, the surgery AC and the waiting room.

Drug & vaccine fridges

In range, locked, evidenced.

Surgery & waiting-room AC

Comfortable for patients, quiet for clinics.

Sample & lab storage

Cold that has to be certain.

Server & equipment rooms

The cooling nobody notices until it stops.
